I'm still itching to put a 'The' in front of that title. Why doesn't it have one? *twitches*( Episode reaction, now with actual content. Well, some content, but then it is nearly lunchtime...Collapse )
I'm putting this post up now, just in case anyone listens to it and wants to get in before I do for a change. I won't be able to listen until later this afternoon, and will put some kind of review/recap up at that point. This is a reaction post for Torchwood - Golden Age. Download it here from 3pm BST and for the next week.
( Reactions under cut and in comments. Spoilers, of courseCollapse )I'm just going to ask everyone to stick to 'Asylum' reactions for now. No spoilers for the TV series or the upcoming radio plays, thanks. There'll be all the time in the world to write about those afterwards. Also, just in case the conversation here isn't enough for you, there's a fast-moving discussion post at torch_wood here, and a review collection post here. If you missed the episode, you can download it as an MP3 here for the next 7 days.
Yes, after more than a year of inactivity, I'm pulling torchwood_meta out of hiatus and back into action.Well. Action's maybe a little strong. We're more the 'pottering' type around here, but we're starting to potter again. Torchwood Season 3 will start to air on Monday of next week, and before that, Radio 4 are broadcasting plays today, Thursday and Friday. I'll put up a discussion post for each of them as soon as the plays are over. There will also be a post for each of the TV episodes next week, although the timing of those may be a little more erratic depending on other Modly commitments. There will be no spoilers for anything outside a cut until the episodes have also been shown in the US. That's not too long to wait and it means people don't have to worry about taking us off watch-lists if they don't want to be spoiled. This, of course, assumes that there are still people out there watching the comm! My current plan is to follow last year's pattern of Mods making general posts for people to comment on - given things are probably about to go mad in the Torchwood fandom, that feels like the best way to keep this a sensible, calm place to talk about things as it has been up to now. It also keeps all the discussion in one place for ease of tracking and follow-up. As ever, I think everyone around here knows how to disagree without flaming, Mods will keep a loose eye on things and only intervene if they start getting personal. Do send me a PM if you think I've missed something, but otherwise, play nicely and here we go again! Thanks, folks.
To keep track of this discussion, just click the little pin at the top of the post - it should say 'track this' when you hover the mouse over it. You'll then get all comments emailed straight to you. This is a supplement to the discussion post below - do carry on chatting there too! - to flesh out some of the details and get down to more detailed discussion if you want it. ( Keeping all spoilers, whatsover, behind the cutCollapse )
I'm posting this now,
sarcasticchick (writing journal sarcasticbabble) is a writer from Lincoln, Nebraska. She is the author of the Shades of Ianto series, which with a grand total of just under 220,000 words, I can only recommend you all take the weekend off to go read. Asking the questions is hellenebright (who has had a horrendous wrestling match with the code and LJs two editors, which are not speaking to each other, so please excuse her if the fancy spoiler hiding doesn't work in your journal style)(ETA - the last third of this got cut off in the code disaster, so if you read it before, please read it again)
If you watched Fragments for the first time yesterday (or watched it again just to make sure), what were your reactions?
As I'm sure everyone is aware spoilers for the finale episodes are rife. Please try to avoid them in the comments!Second take at episode discussion for s02e11: 'Adrift' here for the latecomers... including me. I didn't give a look in on the previous discussion of this episode, so please bear with me if I end up rehashing what has gone before.( Getting on with it...Collapse )
A quick note in passing: Spoilers abound for the last episodes of the season, so please be careful in leaving comments. Not everyone wants to know! Also, if you want to keep track of how the discussion's going, click the little pin at the top of the post (it should say 'track this' when you hover your mouse over it). That means you'll be emailed all the replies to this post. Simple, eh?Right, onto the discussion: ( 2x11 'Adrift'Collapse )
